Inaugural Colossus Cup Featured Legendary Soccer Clubs from Mexico and Argentina and Concluded in Seattle with Historic Doubleheader

The four most storied soccer clubs from Mexico and Argentina faced off in the United States in the summer of 2019, as they competed for the inaugural Colossus Cup. Seattle’s CenturyLink Field hosted the grand finale with a historic doubleheader pinning the giants of the Americas.
Argentinian rival greats Boca Juniors and River Plate along with Mexican giants Club America and Chivas de Guadalajara participated in the first-ever event organized by the IdeaBlueSky team. The Colossus Cup was presented by TORNEOS, a leading sports marketing company with extensive experience in media broadcast and event production organization in Argentina with a global footprint in Latin America.
The Colossus Cup doubleheader at CenturyLink Field pinned Club America against Copa Libertadores Champion River Plate and in the second match Chivas de Guadalajara faced Boca Juniors. The momentous event was played Saturday, July 6, 2019.

Boca Juniors and River Plate are the most prestigious clubs of Argentina’s Primera Division. Between the two they have won the Local Championship over 70 times and recently played for the Copa Libertadores tournament final at Real Madrid’s home stadium, selling out the match within hours from its announcement. Club America and Chivas de Guadalajara are the undisputed leaders in Liga MX and are the undisputed biggest clubs in Concacaf. In the Colossus Cup format, the Argentinian squads squared off against their Mexican counterparts.
